Brian K. Clinton, MD, PhD

Dr. Clinton completed his medical training at Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons, also earning a Ph.D. in the Department of Neurobiology & Behavior where he studied development of the brain's cortex as part of the Dual M.D./Ph.D. program. He completed his psychiatric training at Harvard University's Massachusetts General Hospital - McLean Hospital Adult Residency Training Program where he was the Chief Resident at McLean Hospital. During his final year of training he completed a one-year fellowship at the Boston Psychoanalytic Institute and also evaluated patients at the MGH Bipolar Clinic and Research Program.
Dr. Brian Clinton served as an Attending Psychiatrist from 2010-2014 and as Associate Director of Milstein 9 Garden North / McKeen Pavillion Psychiatric Inpatient Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital /Columbia University Medical Center. He has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of anxiety, mood, psychotic, and personality disorders in adult patients who are suffering exacerbation of their illness and are often dealing with personal and family/relationship crises. In outpatient practice at Columbia Doctors Midtown, Dr. Clinton provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families. He also provides medication management when appropriate and consultations for diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning.
