Chelsea Grefe, Psy.D., received her doctoral degree in school psychology from St. John’s University, where she investigated the treatment of trauma in adolescents under the supervision of Dr. Elissa Brown at the Child HELP Partnership. Dr. Grefe is a New York State Licensed Psychologist with training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and additional training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She is also a certificated school psychologist in NY, NJ, and CT.
Dr. Grefe is a psychologist in the School-Based Mental Health Program at NewYork-Presbyterian and is on faculty at the Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Columbia University Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Grefe worked with children and adolescents both in day treatment and outpatient settings throughout New York City and served as a school psychologist in Connecticut for four years. In addition, Dr. Grefe works part-time in private practice.
