He then served as unit chief of 3 River East, a 30 bed MICA inpatient unit located at the Allen Hospital. He is currently the director of the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program at Columbia University Medical Center. His writing is focused on topics related to ethics and patient safety.
